Julien Widmer
Julien Widmer is a film director, graphic designer, and composer.
At 22, after earning a diploma in graphic design from the Ecole Estienne National Art High School in Paris, he entered the animation film program at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. He also began to work as a freelance graphic designer, creating identities, posters, and album covers. Julien finished his studies in 2004 and soon after directed his first animated films and created the title sequence for the feature film Le souffleur, produced by Luc Besson. In 2007, Julien was shortlisted for the Young Director Award at the Cannes Lions Festival for his work on a Puma commercial. In 2008, Julien Widmer directed the first 360° music video for French singer Merlot and in 2010, Julien made his first documentary, Bleus, for Canal+.
Julien continues to work for clients such as Adidas, Havana Club, and Hugo Boss.
